I started playing here a few months ago, and it’s beautiful. I like the authentic feel, as far as the vibe goes. It’s relaxed, and that’s something that’s sometimes missing in soccer culture. Sometimes it can be rigid and contained but here? You pop up, show up, and you play.

We heard about it down here from a guy in school. It’s a great way to meet people and knowing that you can just walk past these games one day and start playing is really cool. It’s fun, and the standard is really high.

Soccer in LA is just such a mix of people. It feels like a real community. The culture is growing. We’ve been all over America, and there’s nowhere else that does soccer like what VBFC are doing.
